Chief Complaint

 Patient presented with excessive bony protuberances on the buccal side of teeth #25, #26, #27, and #28, interfering with denture fabrication.

Clinical Findings

  • Prominent bony protuberances on buccal aspect of #25–#28.

  • Patient expressed desire to proceed with denture treatment.

Pre-operative photographs and CBCT taken.

Treatment Plan

  • Surgical exposure of bony protuberances.

  • Surgical reduction and contouring of bone to eliminate undercuts and facilitate denture placement.

  • Patient and guardian counseled on risks, procedures, and alternatives.

Informed consent obtained.

Pre-operative Assessment

  • CBCT confirmed extent of bony protuberances.

Medical history reviewed, no contraindications for local anesthesia.

Anesthesia

  • Local infiltration administered around #25–#28.

Surgical Procedure

  • Patient cleaned and draped under sterile conditions.

  • Incision made and buccal flap raised.

  • Excess bony protuberances surgically removed and reduced.

  • Bone contoured and smoothened to restore proper ridge form.

  • Hemostasis achieved and surgical site irrigated.
